Biodiversity is the foundation of sustainable forestry, and the forest industry is committed to promoting it. The most important means of doing so are nature management in commercial forests and the protection of the sites that are most valuable for biodiversity.

The impact in Finland is significant. The sector directly and indirectly employs approximately 100,000 people and accounts for nearly one fifth of Finland’s goods exports.
Why is the forest industry said to help slow climate change?
